 Welcome to the Grape Juice Plus Wine Tasting Group. The purpose of this group is to learn about wine through comparison and discussion, so you can learn what you like and where to get it.The group meets periodically with a different member hosting each session (unless a single location is found to be the most convenient). The host provides the shelter and furniture, while the rest of the group supplies appetizer-type food to cleanse the palette and aide in sobriety. Be sure to eat dinner first, cheese and crackers are not a meal. All participants bring a bottle of wine that fits the criteria of the session. The criteria is usually a specific varietal from a specific region, usually under $20, and must be available for purchase (no cellar wines). We're not looking to spend a lot of money, because none of us have a whole lot to spend. It is a blind tasting so bottles are kept secret until all have been scored and criticized, at which point the bottles will be unwrapped and the labels are revealed. We do this to keep the "label-readers" from giving a bottle high marks just because of the winery's name. Tasting wheels, scoring sheets, and trivial information will be provided. You have to bring your own glasses and your taste buds. Results of the tasting will be posted on this website for you to check whenever you want. Wine Country in the House! Tasting Results
